From 1951: Marilyn Monroe's Former Roommate



Part of the reason why I love Shelley Winters was that she was unafraid to play unsympathetic, unlikable characters. Such was the case in 1951's A Place In The Sun (a fantastic movie and one of my favorites).

    I loved Shelly - even in her later years she always brought a smile to my face - like when she played "Nana Mary" on several episodes of Roseanne.

    My all time fave Shelly Winters film is "He Ran All The Way" with John Garfield.
