Isn't the new header cool? I just have had a smile on my face ever since good friend and fellow blogger (and all-around mensch) Doug Prinzivalli of dougsploitation sent it to me. He did it just because he is like that; surprising a girl on a Saturday afternoon with his handiwork and giving me and my blog a much-needed shot of vitality in the process.
Muchas gracias, mi amigo. I love it.

Papa's Got A Brand-New Favorite Blog
I plan on stealing liberally from this beautiful, witty blog.
Anyone who worships Miss Debralee Scott is A-OK in my book.

If I Ever Stop Using This Photo For My Profile Pictures, Stick Me In A Hefty Trash Bag And Put Me Out On The Curb, Because I Am Surely Dead
I shamelessly stole this from the Sexy People blog, because I simply had to have it. I really have no other excuse. How could I not love a photo of a guy named Rick from 1975? This picture is everything this blog is all about!
I feel a week-long tribute to 1975 coming on.

You Do Maru, Don't You?
He's a Hep Cat by way of Tokyo, and I'm crazy about him.
彼はおかしな美しい猫です。
He is a funny and beautiful cat.
(I wrote that in Japanese by myself!
私は学んでいます I'm learning!)
Maru.

Hooray For Michael K.
If you aren't already a regular reader and huge fan of Dlisted, you must start today.
There are several truly hilarious writers on The Information Superhighway, and Michael K. tops my list.
Here he is profiled by Paper Magazine. He's the one without the stylist. (Yeah, you read that right. The other guy had a stylist.)
Thank you, Michael K., for a million laughs (especially recently, when I haven't felt like laughing about much of anything), and for giving me one of the biggest laughs I have ever had, the bit about your cousins droppin' it like it's hot in the parking lot at Del Taco. I am laughing as I type those words.

He's Written A Letter To Daddy...
My good friend Pax's awesome site, Billy Loves Stu
with the greatest tagline ever
"for homos who love horror and the non-homos who love them"
It is my goal in life to get together with Pax for a never-before-seen re-staging of Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?. The best part of the show will be the fistfight between Pax and me over who gets to play Baby Jane Hudson.
