Christy And Linda Do Chanel, Fall 1990

I long for the days when actual models, not celebrities or actresses or reality show tramps, graced the insides and cover of fashion magazines.

From 1978: The Most Beautiful Woman Who Ever Lived

You don't need to speak a word of French to understand how great this movie is.
This is my favorite scene, where Miss Deneuve eats potato chips and rides in a convertible through Paris at night with her lover, Antoine.

Chanel No. 22: The Perfume Of Romance

1966

Here is a wonderful description of Chanel No, 22, which can only be purchased in Chanel boutiques and Bergdorf Goodman.

And while I am a Cristalle kind of a gal (the eau de toilette, if you please, which is its original incarnation and far superior to the cloying eau de parfum version), just this gorgeous ad alone makes me want to spit-shine my Payless Shoe Source pumps and march into a Chanel boutique for a bottle.

Gorgeous Claudia Schiffer was the face of my favorite Chanel fragrance back in the 90s.
