Grasshopper: Michelle Phillips

Michelle Phillips
1966

"Got A Feelin'" is one of the many songs inspired by Michelle.  This song was penned by her husband, John, about her affair with Denny Doherty.  It is one of my favorites because it is one of my Mom's favorites, and it features Michelle's delicate, lyrical soprano prominently.

I Want To Be That Blonde Perched On The Couch, Blowing Kisses

This video clip incarnates everything "A Touch of Tuesday Weld."

Remembering times like these; that's what this blog is all about.

I wonder what songs they were dancing to!

Be sure to watch to the very end, where That Blonde sexily smooches toward the camera and lights up the entire room with her smile.

From 1976: Beautiful Bebe Buell

Some pictures just scream "The Seventies" without any captioning necessary.

Cameron Crowe used Bebe Buell as a source of inspiration for his genius film Almost Famous. When you look at the second photograph, is there really any doubt as to why?

From 1979: Gorgeous, Gorgeous Gia

There will never be enough words said about her beauty. She really was one of the best models who ever lived, and she managed to attain that status in less than five years of working in the industry and despite having a, shall we say, dangerous way of living.

This photo appeared in the April, 1979, issue of Vogue UK.

If you double-click the photo, prepare to be stunned.

Today's A Good Day For New Blogging Friends!

Discover Like...Dreamsville

Skipper Bartlett's one hep cat who is running a blog that might just be a little too cool for the bunch of perennially unemployed alcoholic rabble who populate these environs. (I kid, I kid...well, actually that's an accurate description for me, except the alcoholic moniker; I drink like an Irish person, okay? Just paying homage to my ancestors.)

This is for you, Skipper...The Journeymen were the house band at the hungry i in the early 60s.

Did anyone else ever have a voice as beautiful as Scott McKenzie's?
