From 1987: Heaven Is A Kiss And A Smile
One of the most haunting records ever made.
On February 27, 1988, Father Figure topped the Billboard charts, staying there for two weeks. It was a track from George Michael's monster LP Faith, which was released in October 1987.
The model in the video is Tania Coleridge.
There isn't a bad track on Faith,
but this one has been my favorite for 25 years.

There will never be enough words said about her beauty. She really was one of the best models who ever lived, and she managed to attain that status in less than five years of working in the industry and despite having a, shall we say, dangerous way of living.

Everybody Wants A Lover Like That
From 1992. Most of the clothing in this video is by Thierry Mugler, especially the metal pieces. Look at a very young and incredibly beautiful Tyra Banks!
The woman with the long dark hair and the black leatherette catsuit is none other than Julie Newmar.
There was supposed to be a catfight scene between Linda Evangelista and Shana Zadrick, but it was cut, as it was deemed too risque'.
Back in the summer of 1992, I had this cassette single and I think I played it 4,563,907 times.

Pattie Boyd Shampoos Her Hair
She had quintessential Sixties hair, long and blonde and swingy. Pattie always shampooed her hair daily, which was unusual for the times. She then would allow it to air dry.

It's A Mod, Mod World
Peggy Moffitt, muse to designer Rudy Gernreich and hair legend Vidal Sassoon,advertises Dash laundry detergent in this 1960s ad (1966, maybe?).
It seems as though Dash has been discontinued as a brand; however, it is very difficult to find any information online about it.

From 1965: The Braniff Airstrip
This world-famous ad touted the designs of Emilio Pucci for Braniff stewardesses. The airline debuted his outfits on cabin crews starting in 1965. Very fashion forward for its time!
Sexy? Sure. Suggestive? You better believe it. Effective? Incredibly. "The Braniff Airstrip" was one of the most effective campaigns ever, and remains a landmark in American advertising.
Braniff planes became more colorful in 1965, too. Declaring "the end of the plain plane," Braniff began to decorate its planes in bright, often fluorescent colors. Braniff ticket counters, gates, and lounges looked space-age and were painted with cheerful splashes of color. Largely the work of renowned designer Alexander Girard, Braniff facilities were spots of sunshine in the staid grey hallways of 1960s airports.
Braniff also had an odd looking monorail of sorts in place at Love Field in Dallas. Instead of a conventional train car, the "Jet-Rail" had its wheels and cables attached at the top, so the car was hanging down from the track. Passengers had the sensation, then, that they were already flying...or at the very least, hanging!
